Melinda Falk is a Marin County native. She was born in San Francisco and grew up in Tiburon. Her parents were active in the Bay Area art scene as collectors. And they often brought her along to gallery openings and museums as a child. She graduated from Redwood high school in 1984 and got her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1988. She had a stint as an au pair in Finland, then went on to meet her dfuture husband. At that juncture she became an antique dealer, which has been her career the last 30 years. The art practice got neglected until about five years ago. She than began painting and drawing again. She has exhibited in two juried shows at the Falkirk in San Rafael, both in 2022. She enjoys the freedom of painting gives her ton experience an energy between her mind, hands and the canvas. You can view her work on Instagram @falkkunst.
