The painting is from a series of eight that were part of an installation of Hashimoto's Japanese kites, Infinite Expanse of Sky, at Chicago's Museum of Modern Art. It purchased from Ann Nathan Gallery, and it was valued by Marta Otero Gallery who represents Jacob at $10,000 each in 2013.
